Mr. Carr is a CapTech Principal responsible for running the Data Management and Business Intelligence division. Mr. Carr started this division at CapTech in 2005, and has built it to over 100 professionals. With a constant focus on learning and outstanding service deliver, Mr. Carr has over 25 years of data management experience with an expertise in Data Integration solutions. Mr. Carr is a thought leader in Data and Analytics with expertise in strategic planning, data architecture, data integration, business intelligence, and data governance.

Prior to joining CapTech, Mr. Carr’s career included work at McKinsey & Company, Exxon Mobil, Informatica, Northrop Grumman Information Technology, and Serco. He even co-founded a China-based start-up company that operated in Shanghai, China.

Mr. Carr holds a Bachelor of Science degree from the University of Virginia and a Masters in the Management of Information Technology (MIT) from the University of Virginia School of Commerce. Mr. Carr is a Certified Data Management Professional, Certified Informatica Consultant, and a Certified Business Intelligence Professional. Mr. Carr teaches Data Management at the University of Virginia’s McIntire School of Commerce, and speaks regularly at TDWI and DAMA events.
